This wall-mounted air conditioning unit was designed as a game-ready prop, ideal for enriching urban or industrial environments with a touch of decay and realism. Inspired by everyday machines often overlooked in cityscapes, this asset tells the story of an old system that once kept buildings cool, now left to rust with time and weather.
Modeled in Blender, with high-poly details sculpted in ZBrush, and textured in Substance Painter using a PBR workflow. The texture work focuses on surface storytelling, with grime, rust, stickers, and weather stains adding life and narrative to the asset.
A simple fan animation was included to increase immersion and simulate functionality in real-time game engines.
